Description

Staged reading of Robert Fields' powerful new play "Upstairs" on Sept. 21 at 2PM at the main branch of the Berkeley Public Library, 2090 Kittredge St., in the Community Room on the Third Floor. The library is close to the downtown Berkeley BART Station. 

THIS IS A FREE PUBLIC EVENT presented by Play Cafe. 

SYNOPSIS: When a heretofore unknown cousin comes to live with an upper-middle class Black American family in 1970s Oakland, it upsets their general harmony and regular order.
