Performed by Jess Farber / Directed by Dan Griffiths
Performance Consultant: Sabrina Wenske
Are we just the result of a chaotic collision of cells, or has our journey already begun before we take our first breath? The Fetus Show is an absurd, comedic exploration of birth, our baggage, and the grand cosmic joke of the interwovenness of it all. From conception, to the womb, to our coming to the world, Jessica Farber invites audiences to examine the substance of what we inherit, what we carry, what we find and what we inevitably lose and leave behind.
A surreal, irreverent take on the so-called “miracle of life,” this show dives headfirst into nature vs. nurture, destiny vs. chaos, and the eternal question - what is the meaning of it all?
“The Fetus… you are a gem, just the perfect timbre of strange.”

“Not quite the Fetus Show you might be expecting.” - Sabrina Wenske
Jessica Farber is interested in tending to their small corner of the world while keeping a spark of impulsive nature that keeps their life fluid with curiosity.
Jessica is a visual artist, clown, improviser, and pen to paper type of person. After receiving their BFA in painting from West Chester of Pennsylvania, Jess went on to train improv comedy at Finest City Improv in San Diego, completing their training and conservatory program. Fully bitten by the performance bug, Jess went on to be a weekly player on the theater’s house team, as well as a coach and teacher. While taking many improv workshops, including Second City’s intensive, Jessica found clowning and hasn’t looked back since!
Jess currently resides in San Francisco and has been studying clowning at Church of Clown since 2023 and other spots around the bay too. You may recognize Jess from Space Suckers from Outer Space where she played the beloved role of Glob.
