"As Long as Love is Near" is an exploration of transcendental love and nurturing; a physical landscape of sensations which exceed time, understanding, and material reality, but are nevertheless real—inexplicably felt, palpably moving, and ever enduring. This dance work studies intimacy as an ethereal entity—an intangible, binding force between two bodies coaxing softness, tenderness, and flexibility. While hardness and strength are often championed, this work suggests pliancy and weakness as expressions of the freshness of being.
