Description
In this queer romantic comedy, college freshmen discover themselves and each other at a school everyone calls “Love U.” Mia is a small town bookworm far from home for the first time. Jae is a big city track star still finding her way when it comes to academics. Sparks fly when Mia and Jae meet at the Love U library, and Jae tells a little white lie: that she’s just as much of a reader as Mia. To keep up the pretense, Jae enlists the help of a knowledgeable friend. But the more Mia falls, the more Jae struggles to maintain her fiction. Can she prove to Mia (and herself) that she’s more than just a “dumb jock”? With emotionally honest songwriting and an all-queer cast of characters, LOVE U is a life-affirming coming of age tale for students of the human heart.
