Description

Award-winning San Francisco contemporary chamber music group Ensemble for These Times (E4TT) opens its 2024/25 season with a musical conversation around motion, with three commissioned World Premieres--"And I Made My Own Way, Deciphering That Fire," by Ursula Kwong-Brown, "ubi lux floret" by Darian Donovan Thomas, and oboe/cello duo by Mary Bianco--moto perpetuo movements by Benjamin Britten and York Bowen, and music by Lisa Bielawa, Vivian Fung, Sage Shurman, and Zhou Tian. 

Pre-concert composer talk: 7:30 p.m. 

Performed by E4TT (Margaret Halbig, piano) with Laura Reynolds, oboe/English horn, Lylia Guinon, violin, and Megan Chartier, cello
