Film noir meets E4TT's much-loved "Emigres & Exiles in Hollywood" series in a program featuring new tributes to film noir by modern movie mavens Germaine Franco (Encanto) and Lars Deutsch (The Passenger), paired with music by four of the many talented emigre composers who fled persecution in WWII to L.A. and are often credited with helping found today's "Hollywood" sound: Arnold Schoenberg (his atmospheric "Verklaerte Nacht" in a rarely heard piano trio arrangement), Miklos Rozsa, Eugene Zador, and Erich Zeisl.
