The award-winning Marin School of the Arts Theatre presents FOLLIES, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Goldman, featuring a cast and crew of over sixty students. 

The Weismann Follies showgirls reunite before their old theatre is torn down, singing and dancing their old numbers and confronting past regrets and misplaced hopes. The show traces decades of American show business and the dangers of living in the past. Boasting a magnificent score, FOLLIES includes some of Stephen Sondheim’s most famous songs, including “I’m Still Here,” “Broadway Baby,” and “Losing My Mind.” FOLLIES has been staged and revived successfully 3 times on Broadway, in concert at Lincoln Center and also at City Center, and in London. It’s an award-winning show:  New York Drama Critics' Award for Best Musical, 10 Tony Awards, including Best Score, 9 Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Music and Outstanding Lyrics, Laurence Olivier Awards for 1987 Musical of the Year and for 2017 Best Revival of a Musical, and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.
