Woander World, creator of the Wylding Woods outdoor immersive show, is developing a new indoor immersive experience for young children called "The Story Stump".  Children and their caregivers are invited into a magical play space where fairytales comes to life through their own imaginative play.   The experience uses live performers, puppets, music and tactile experiences to engage intimate audiences on an adventure.  The Story Stump acts as a portal for multiple adventures.  The first adventure is called "The Singing Garden".   New adventures will be launched seasonally.  While the initial commitment is for a single show, this could grow into a full time performance job in 2027 that would tour around the Bay Area.  

The show is being double cast to allow for some flexablity in scheduling.  

We are casting two roles:

Lexivandrielle - the storybook fairy and librarian of the Story Stump

Gigglepillar / Wise Owl / Sounds - a puppeteer to play multiple roles and support with musical sound effects

We are seeking performers with experience in the following types of skills

- performing for children

- teaching children's theatre classes

- improvisation

- movement

- puppetry

- ensemble show development

Audition's will consist of an interview with the director followed by some improvisation based on some loose script outlines of one of our previous shows.

First Rehearsal - Aug 28 

First Preview - Sept 26

Last Show of First Run - Nov 22nd 

Runtime will be under 60 minutes.

There will be up to 4 show times / day.

Compensation is $30 / hour for rehearsals or performance.
