Children's Theatre of Charlotte (NC)

The 2019 high-spirited musical returns with the original heart and humor that made it a smash hit. Brian is no stranger to feeling invisible. His classmates don’t notice him or include him in games or birthday parties. All that changes when a boy named Justin arrives at school. Through a simple act of kindness, a new friendship forms. The two team up for a class project where Brian’s lively personality and vivid imagination shine for all to see.  Runs through November 2, 2025.

Character Description

Justin/Ensemble | Bari/Tenor | JUSTIN is the new student. (The character is a student, but will played by an adult.) He is from Korea. There is a poise about him and an energy which is different from the rest of the children. He is confident, and for the most part doesn't worry about what anyone else thinks of him. Although he presents himself as a person of substance, he is also playful and fun, just like the rest of the students.

Pay Rate

$500/week, plus travel and housing

How to Submit

Interested parties should submit a digital video audition in which they perform one accompanied song, and a monologue. The video should be shot in one take, and mention Children’s Theatre of Charlotte in the slate. Please send to Production@ctcharlotte.org, and write “Invisible Boy Submission” in the subject line.
