Left Coast Theatre Co. is thrilled to announce auditions for its next full production: "The Future is Queer." This is an anthology of seven short plays that explore what the future might look like for LGBTQ+ folk.

Important Dates:

Audition Window: 4/7 to 4/27/25

Callbacks: Sun 5/4, 12pm-4pm (in-person)

First Read: Tues 5/27, 6:30-8:30pm (in-person)

Rehearsals: Early June - Late July (more below)

Tech: Sun, 7/20, 1-5:30pm; Tues, 7/22 - Thurs, 7/24 6-11pm

Performances: Fri, 7/25; Sat, 7/26; Fri, 8/1; Sat, 8/2; Thurs, 8/7; Fri, 8/8; Sat, 8/9

All performances are at 7:30pm at The Phoenix Theatre (414 Mason St, SF)

Auditions:

We will be accepting virtual auditions of filmed 1-2 minute monologues. Please visit www.lctc-sf.org/auditions submit your video monologue, as well as your headshot and resume.

Callbacks:

Callbacks will be in-person on Sun, May 4, from 12 to 4pm. Callbacks will consist of reading sides. Actors may not be called for the whole callback window. If you have any conflicts on May 4, please note that in the audition form.

Rehearsals:

Actors can expect to be called for around 5 rehearsals per piece, in addition to tech week. Rehearsal schedules will be finalized by directors once their pieces are cast based on actors' availability. Some rehearsals will be virtual.

COVID Guidelines:

Left Coast requires all cast and crew to show proof of vaccination.

Stipend:

There will be an expense stipend of $300
