About the Play:
The Colored Museum is a bold, satirical, and deeply moving exploration of African American identity. Through a series of 11 sharp, funny, and poignant vignettes, the play reimagines Black culture and history in America with wit, theatricality, and unapologetic honesty.
We are casting actors to join us in The Colored Museum as well as two original stage plays premiering this season:
Roles:
Women- Comedic and Dramatic
Men- Comedic and Dramatic
Youth Performers- (age 12-17)
Hip Hop Dancers- all ages
Rehearsals:
May 6- June 16th
Belrose Theatre, San Rafael, CA
Preview: June 18 & 19th (Wednesday & Thursday)
Performances: June 20- 30th (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
