Korsa Musical Theater, a musical theater training company, is seeking an actor (non-union only) to play the ADULT MEN in Spring Awakening.

PAY: $1,500 stipend, Estimated 100 hours total
REHEARSALS BEGIN: Monday October 20 (no rehearsal the week of Thanksgiving and December 20-January 1)
TECH: Friday January 2-Thursday January 8
PERFORMANCES: Friday January 9-Sunday January 18, 8 performances total
LOCATIONS: Rehearsals will be held at Korsa’s Aquatic Park rehearsal space in Berkeley. Tech/performances will take place at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre in Hayward.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- The actor playing the ADULT MEN portrays all of the adult characters in Spring Awakening, including a sinister headmaster, a bitter and violent father, a sympathetic doctor, and a back-alley abortion provider. Actor should have excellent dramatic and comedic chops.
- Character(s) are male, in their 40s-50s (age is somewhat flexible, but actor should believably read as the age of a parent of a teenager), any ethnicity
- Non-singing role, some dancing required
- All adult performers in Korsa productions act as mentors to our student actors, age 14-20, and so should be comfortable working alongside young actors. Teaching artist experience a plus but not required.
