Audition Non-Union Volunteer

A group of humanoid robots programs themselves to perform a gripping and deeply emotional work of live theater.

Character Descriptions

We are looking for actors who are wonderfully expressive, fearless, full of curiosity and want to participate long term in creating a new kind of theater.

Since our show is modular and includes many modules, the best we can do is list the functions and situations of characters within the show:

  • A couple arguing about issues of ego within their relationship
  • A person reflecting on which of their feelings are worthy of respect and who is also in love with compost
  • A woman with severe PTSD who is hallucinating five frozen people trying to kill her with daggers made of ice
  • A "noble knight" on social media whose actions are utterly useless
  • A professor presenting a sarcastic yet helpful account of mythic human origins
  • A repulsively self-pitying schmuck who blames all his use of fossil fuels on the oil companies and then drops litter on stage
  • A sports announcer calling the action in an invented Olympic sport involving audience participation
  • A Scottish friend encouraging his friend to become not only feckful, but chock full of feck (It's fecktacular!)
  • A female right-wing influencer who hates left-handed people and wants them all to be imprisoned or deported
  • A straight white guy who delivers a blistering critique of straight white guys, and then reveals...
  • One of a group of people who aspire to improve the world exclusively by improving themselves (Song and dance number!)
