The first of a repertoire of classical fairy tale adaptations, PINOCCHIO – Kids Spectacular! is a dazzling, high-energy adventure the whole family will love. Filled with colorful characters, original songs, magical stage moments, this vibrant production brings the beloved wooden boy to life in a heartwarming journey about bravery, honesty, and believing in yourself.  

A fun live theatre event for children and families, filled with music, color, and interactive moments — with a touch of glamour!

Character Breakdown

PINOCCHIO — Lead Role

Gender: Any

Age Range: 18–early 20s

A lively, curious, mischievous wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. Requires strong acting, physical comedy, movement, singing, dancing, and expressive storytelling. Must be energetic, charming, innocent, and able to show emotional growth.

GEPPETTO — Lead Role

Gender: Male

Age Range: 40s–70s

Pinocchio’s creator and loving father, based on Carlo Collodi’s original character. A poor but kind woodcarver who dreams of having a son. Requires warmth, humor, emotional sincerity, and strong character acting, singing. 

THE BLUE FAIRY — Lead / Featured Role

Gender: Female

Age Range: 20s–30s

A magical, graceful, and powerful figure who guides Pinocchio on his journey. Requires elegance, warmth, authority, strong stage presence, and the ability to create a sense of wonder and magic. Singing, dancing and movement may be required.

CRICKET — Lead / Featured Role

Gender: Any

Age Range: 20s

Pinocchio’s wise and funny conscience. The Cricket guides Pinocchio with humor, heart, and direct connection to the audience. Requires strong comic timing, clear storytelling, expressive movement, and strong personality. Singing and dancing. 

MANGIA (CIRCUS OWNER) — Supporting Role

Gender: Male-presenting preferred

Age Range: 30s–60s

A bold, theatrical, larger-than-life circus owner. Dramatic, commanding, funny, and intimidating when needed. Requires strong stage presence, physicality, comic timing, and the ability to play a colorful showman/villain type. Singing. 

MR. CAT — Supporting Role

Gender: Male

Age Range: 20s–50s

A sly, funny, and clever trickster who helps lead Pinocchio into trouble. Requires strong character work, physical comedy, movement, timing, and playful interaction with Mrs. Fox. Singing. 

MRS. FOX — Supporting Role

Gender: Female

Age Range: 20s–50s

A clever, stylish, and persuasive trickster who partners with Mr. Cat. Witty, theatrical, charming, and deceptive in a comic way. Requires strong acting, movement, comic timing, and bold character work. Singing.

ENSEMBLE / CHORUS — Ensemble Role

Gender: Any

Age Range: 18–30s

Versatile performers who help bring the world of the story to life through singing, dancing, movement, character work, and scene support. Ensemble members may play multiple featured characters, townspeople, circus performers, schoolchildren, or other story roles. Strong stage presence, musicality, and movement ability are important. Ensemble members may also be considered for understudy roles.


Pay Rate 

Rehearsal period includes approximately 80 hours of rehearsal with a $450 flat rehearsal stipend. Performances are paid separately at $180 per performance.
