About the Show

“How Fast Should We Go?” is a new play developed out of a collaboration with 12 diverse playwrights and funded by the humanities institute Avalon Institute. It is our creative take on the high-energy, intimate *Neo-Futurist style of theater, in which a troupe of performers attempts to perform 30, 2-minute plays in 60 minutes– in an order determined live by the audience.

The “micro-plays” we’ve selected run the gamut in style, tone and genre, from philosophical meditations to movement pieces to broad comedy and classic drama, but were all inspired by the thoroughly relevant modern question– how fast should we go? The play explores this question applied to everything from technological progress to romantic escalation.

*note: we have no affiliation with the theatre troupe "The San Francisco Neo-Futurists"

Rehearsal Start date: 9/20

Performance Start date: 10/21
