New Conservatory Theatre Center is casting non-AEA actors for HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

Directed by Chris Morrell and Music Direction by Jake Gale.
Accepting VIDEO AUDITIONS: Due Oct 7
AUDITIONS (in-person): Mon-Tues, Oct 6-7 (5-10pm)
Pay is $3500 inclusive of March workshop, rehearsals and performances.
Rehearsals begin April 7, 2026. Performances run May 8 - June 7.
SEEKING:
Two actors of any ethnicity, body type, gender identity or expression to share the roles of Hedwig and Yitzhak, alternating performances. Each actor will inhabit both roles across the run (e.g. approx. 3 per week in one role, 2 in the other, then switching the following week).
Like the myth told in Hedwig — when humans were split apart by the gods, left “longing for our other half” — these two roles will embody the fractured gender binary yearning for reconciliation, each actor stepping into both halves of the story.
Both actors must have strong rock voices and strong harmony abilities.
