Daphne and Ralph are young classics professors who have just made a discovery that's sure to turn them into academic superstars. But something goes disastrously wrong, and Daphne cries out in a panic,"Save me, gods of ancient Greece!" …and the gods actually appear!

Character: A local Greek salesman on the island of Naxos, who serves as a narrator. Befriends Daphne. Speaks with an accent. This role also plays Aleksi and Ares.

Character: A rising star in Hellenistic studies who has joined Daphne's department. He is an ambitious, charming, attractive college professor eager to make a name for himself, particularly through finding a lost Euripides play.

Character: A former student scholar who has become a successful big-time movie star. She is gorgeous, stylish, charming and knows how to get what she wants. This role also plays Zoe.

Character: The Greek god of wine, revelry, and misrule, sent on a mission from Zeus. He's boisterous, ecstatic, very funny and enjoys the modern university campus. He has no boundaries.

Character: The ancient Greek muse of comedy and idyllic poetry, who serves as Dionysus's partner. She is sexy and positive, despite not always being the sharpest. She makes up for it with her wonderful self-confidence.
