SYNOPSIS –

Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman (1949) presents the final day of the life of Willy Loman, a 63-year-old traveling salesman. As he slips between reality and flashbacks, Willy confronts his fractured relationship with his son Biff and his inability to achieve the American Dream. Willy commits suicide for insurance money, leaving his family to grapple with the meaning and value of his life and their own. A landmark play of American theatre, Death of a Salesman critically examines the human cost of the American Dream, the emptiness of material success, and the fragile search for individual identity in a capitalist society. A spiritual journey, the play continues to resonate for its relatable portrayal of family dysfunction, mental health struggles, and the harsh realities of American corporate ideology.
