Announcing Boxcar Theatre General Auditions 2025!

Boxcar Theatre General Auditions is an open call giving dedicated and talented non-equity performers in the San Francisco Bay Area a chance to perform at the Palace Theatre as well as other Boxcar venues and offsite events. Boxcar Theatre is an immersive, interactive theater company based in San Francisco, that specializes in exceptional theatre experiences for public shows and hosted private events. Our shows and events use a wide range of performers from stage and improv actors to cabaret and circus performers. 

Please Note that Boxcar productions often require a heightened, Vaudeville / Film Noir style of acting. In the manner of Humphrey Bogart, Eddie Cantor, 'Casablanca, the 'Maltese Falcon,' and 'Nick and Nora' from 'The Thin Men' films.

• Magic Cocktail Hour, a blend of illusion & story with a flight of magical cocktails

• The Speakeasy, San Francisco’s longest running immersive experience set in the Roarin’ 1920s!
