Gold & Jade Stages is proud to host DIMF MusicalStar North America Region Auditions in San Francisco this Spring 2026

DIMF MusicalStar is a global competition where performers from around the world showcase their talent, receive live feedback from top mentors and K-culture producers, and take their first step toward an international stage. Sing in any language — all voices welcome.

Audition process:

• Application + audition video

• Regional evaluations

• Finalists advance to Korea (travel + accommodation included)

Eligibility 

Anyone interested in Musical Theatre (Ages 9–24)

(No specific ethnicity, gender, or type required. Open casting.)

How to Apply

Deadline: April 6, 2026

Applicants must complete both steps below:

1. Submit the official application form on the Gold and Jade Stages website.

2. Email audition video to goldandjadestages@gmail.com

Audition Video Guidelines:

1) Full-body filming is required; the video must be filmed from a position where the

applicant's face is clearly identifiable.

2) Filming in dark locations, echo-prone spaces, and locations with excessive background noise is not permitted.

3) A brief self-introduction must be given before the performance begins.

4) Total audition video length (including self-introduction) must be within 5 minutes.

5) Film so that only the applicant (individual or group) is visible.

6) One-take filming; the video must be filmed in a continuous take without cuts.

7) Editing after filming is not allowed; audio correction is also not permitted.

8) An MR track must be used; the applicant's voice must be louder than the MR.

9) Original musical works may be used for audition with prior approval from the

organizer; approved applicants must also provide the accompaniment track and sheet music.

10) One submission is permitted per individual or group; please submit only once.

Notes:

* Submitted videos cannot be changed. In the case of multiple submissions, only the first submitted video will be accepted.

* Please ensure that your video is recorded according to the guidelines mentioned above. Submissions that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted for the competition.
