About
ANALOG was co-founded in 2019 by Rebecca Pingree and Elissa Beth Stebbins. Long time friends and artists in the Bay Area, Pingree and Stebbins also had a shared history of training, including training in Mask Movement and Mask Making with Atelier Matteo Destro, whose teaching sparked joy for both around devising and physical theatre. Jed Parsario, longtime fellow performer with extensive similar and complimentary training, quickly became a fixture of devised collaborations for Mask Monday, officially joining Analog Collective Leadership in late 2022.
Our mission is to create multidisciplinary, devised performances that celebrate old-school, low-tech theatre magic. We invite our audiences to join us in collective acts of imagination using mask, mime, puppetry, clowning, live music, improvisation and more. We create platforms that invest in our richly diverse community of Bay Area artists by providing paid opportunities to develop their experimental works-in-progress, and we organize events that welcome the public to witness the growth of theatrical art and artists in real time.
