City Extension is offering a 5-week Meisner workshop meeting Thursday evenings in San Francisco starting October 2, 2025. Whether you’re an actor in training, a professional actor preparing for the next audition, or a film or stage director looking to give better directions, the Meisner technique will make a real difference in your craft. All levels welcome.

The workshop will be facilitated by Nicolas Jupillat, a San Francisco-based public interest lawyer and acting coach. Nicolas had the privilege to train directly under Jacqueline McClintock, a Neighborhood Playhouse alumna who coached award-winning actors including Jessica Paré (Mad Men) and Scott Speedman (Grey’s Anatomy).

Meisner is a wonderful tool for self-discovery that will help you become more present, listen more carefully, and speak from the truth of the moment — all essential skills that are becoming increasingly rare in our age of social media, remote work, and artificial intelligence.

This workshop will also help you:
