Description

In partnership with ITMéxico, Marin Shakespeare Company, and Dominican University of California, Alternative Theater Ensemble presents a free, one-night-only staged reading series of new works by playwrights resisting censorship through humor, solidarity, and joy. A culmination of their work during In the Margin's artist residency in Sahuayo, Michoacán, this series highlights their stories in the beautiful Forest Meadows Amphitheatre of San Rafael, California. Playwrights include Lauren Gunderson, Drew Woodson, Amber Kay Ball, R. Réal Vargas Alanis, and W. Fran Astorga, with a cast and creative team comprising professional artists from across the Bay Area and Turtle Island.
