SUMMARY:Carole Klyce’s “Flight Risk”
DESCRIPTION:After being orphaned at 11 years old\, Carole Klyce spent her adolescence running. Now\, The Marsh Berkeley presents her riveting journey as a runaway in Klyce's debut stage production\, Flight Risk. Labeled "incorrigible\," young Carole lived life on the lam\, from fleeing a group foster home to escaping from a juvenile correction facility. A child at large throughout New Jersey\, Carole sports many names and takes on a male identity for safety\, working restaurants\, fields\, and with the Italian mob to support herself. Throughout her journey she is cared for by unlikely mentors\, including a gruff Italian ex-con chef\, a retired Las Vegas showgirl\, and the only Black man in a rural town. Flight Risk chronicles the six years that Carole spent self-educating and surviving by the skin of her teeth. Central Works founding member and associate artist Deb Fink directs.Buy Tickets Here!
