Teaching Artist Open Call

Description

A collection of Bay Area Theatre Companies, Theatre Bay Area, and Arts Education Alliance of the Bay Area are combining efforts to host an open call for Theatre Teaching Artists.

We are seeking theatre artists of various levels of experience with students of all ages (K-Adult), and we particularly encourage bilingual teaching artists and teaching artists of color to apply. 

Teaching Artists should prepare to model an activity that showcases their specialty, teaching style, or philosophy as a teaching artist. They will have 8-10 minutes each to present and will have the support of other participants to act as “students.”

Information on each participating organization and their work opportunities will be provided to all attendees and any teaching artist resume submitted will be distributed to all participating organizations. If you are unable to join the open call but would like your information shared with this group, we welcome you to complete the form!

The Open Call will take place at the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre located at 2701 Addison St. Berkeley, CA 94704. There will be two sessions on Monday, December 16; from 2-4 pm and from 6:30 - 8:30pm. (an additional session may be added based on demand).
