Volunteer Information and Training Session

Calling access enthusiasts! 

Theatre Bay Area is looking for helpful community members to help us make the recordings of the sessions from the 2024 Annual Conference more accessible by joining in our captioning project.

Volunteers will: 

  • Sign up to caption one 1/2 hour section of video 
  • Review the auto-generated captions on YouTube 
  • Edit YouTube captions for accuracy 
  • Receive complimentary access to all recordings from the 2024 conference as a thank you! 

Want to learn more? Join us on Thursday, October 24 at 12 PM for our volunteer information and training session.

No prior experience with captioning necessary, just a device with internet access and the ability to listen and type in English. This is a great opportunity for hands-on learning about accessibility while diving deep into theatre knowledge.

This session will be recorded — if you are unable to attend live, you'll still be able to join the project.
